The London Joint Efficiency Programme (JIP) and Care Service Efficiency Delivery Team (CSED

 

In 2009 CI worked in partnership with JIP and CSED across London and delivered:

 

  • A comprehensive survey that plotted the extent to which London Councils had implemented Telecare, and their perceived barriers to implementation;
  • A series of well received action learning sets attended by a sub-set of the 23 Councils who took part in the survey;
  • A range of tested tools to support best practice namely, an optimum delivery tool, a benefit analysis too and an evidence base paper for use in developing business cases;
  • An options paper which explored the benefits and possible configurations of a number of Councils jointly procuring Telecare monitoring, including an outline project plan for implementation.

 

The work consisted of engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders including patients and carers and delivering on a number work streams.

"Choose Independence have worked with the London Joint Improvement Partnership to create two key resources to assist boroughs in the practical aspects of mainstreaming Telehealthcare. The resources were created over a tight deadline with significant engagement across 10 London Boroughs. Both the approach & pace at which Choose Independence worked resulted in significant buy in to the end product."
