CI offers independent technical advice, policy support, training and staff development, assessments, recruitment guidance and interim programme management.
Telecare is the use of communications technology and a wide range of sensing/detecting devices to enable the less able to safely live in their own homes.

project news

In 2008/9 CI project managed the joint NHS Direct Telehealth project in South East Essex PCT and Community Services which supported 81 patients with COPD.

Improve patients understanding of their condition, and provide them with the tools to manage and cope with symptoms better.
Improve the way healthcare staff prioritise their workload through effective use of patient vital signs data.
Release additional case management capacity as a result of more informed / targeted home visits and interventions.
Reduce the number of hospital admissions, re- admissions and A&E attendances through more effective case management.
Free up capacity to enable clinicians to focus on those patients who need face to face care.

The resources were created over a tight deadline with significant engagement across 10 London Boroughs.
